A Superb Short Break" (Oct '11)
"Excellent short break" (June '11)
Excellent, wonderful views from the bedroom, clean well presented rooms, excellent breakfast and service super . We would recommend it to all our friends and family.
"Great place to stay would holiday there again" (May '11)
We stayed at Smuggler's Rock Country Hotel for 3 nights in October 2011 and we can not recommend it highly enough. The hotel was exceptionally clean, comfortable and welcoming and the breakfast offered a wide range of choices, each of which being delicious.
We really enjoyed the way in which we were made to feel at home. We were particularly grateful for the knowledge, information and advise we were offered in relation to local walks and pubs.
"Excellent place for a short break near the Yorkshire coast" (Oct '11)
My wife and I stayed for four nights in this clean and pleasant B&B. Our room had a great view and a nice spacious bathroom, though the room itself was not over-large. Breakfast was excellent, and the room it was served in had a nice ambience. There was a pleasant guest lounge, and adequate parking for guests. The location is well situated for walking the coast path, or for trips to Scarborough, Whitby, Robin Hood's Bay.
It was clean, comfortable and nicely furnished. The breakfast was really good and the parking facilities were also good. We liked the out-of-town location, too.
"Smugglers Rock-the perfect hideaway in Ravenscar" (July '11)
We stayed at Smugglers Rock for two nights, but wished we could have stayed longer. It's beautiful location overlooking Ravenscar and the surrounding area, makes it an ideal location for visits to other local beauty spots. We were looking for a "bit of peace and quiet" and we found it here. We were looked after really well by Mike and Sharon who's local knowledge was great, and they told us where the best place to eat was!

Good all round accommodation, with nicely designed rooms and situated in a really peaceful location.

"Great place to stay would holiday there again" (May '11)
From the first to last I felt very welcome, nothing seemed to much trouble, kept very clean for whole stay, even when I was late for breakfast I was treated as if that was no problem.
"A really enjoyable short break which we hoped would never end" (April '11)

Everything we expect and much more. Liked the quiet location, friendliness, cozy room and the lovely breakfast.
"Pleasent and relaxing" (April '11)
It was nice to get away for a few days and it be so peaceful with lovely views, yet jump in your car & you could be in Whitby or Scarborough in under half hour. Very nice if your into walking too.
"A fabulous place, friendly people and very homely" (October '10)
We stayed 3 nights but wish we could stay longer. The owner made us very welcome, the room was lovely, en-suite was great. It was freezing outside but the house was lovely and warm, a real cosy retreat. The breakfast was great, a really great place.
We liked everything - cosy, welcoming, spotless, comfortable.
"Weekend Away" (September '10)
We had planned to stay in the B&B for 2 nights but unfortunately had car trouble and could only stay for 1 night. It was a weekend away near the sea. The room was spotless and so was the bathroom. Very nicely decorated and set out. Breakfast was very nice.
"Two days of Heaven" (July '10)
First time visit to Yorkshire, and can't wait to return. The location and scenerey where superb, we have already decided to return but for longer next time. The rooms were spotlessly clean, the breakfast was delicious and very substantial, the outside area was very neat and tidy, it was a pleasure to come back to.
